Operation New Uniform is committed to help veterans develop the skills necessary to interconnect their background into business, network in a professional environment and sharpen communication skills that will lead veterans to the opportunities they deserve in business.
For the last 20 years Michele was the Co-Owner of Sandler Training in Jacksonville. Sandler is a sales and management training development company that focuses not only on technique training, but on behavior and attitude training as the forefront. This empowers their clients with an “up-front”, “no-nonsense” approach to sales. Their goal is to help companies as well as our Veterans to grow within or into the business community. The copy written Sandler Training system powers Operation New Uniform with the curriculum we teach and provide.
On a personal note – Michele was awarded Woman Business Owner of the Year – 2002; in 2011 she was awarded one of the Top 50 Business of Influence as well as one of the Top 25 Influential Women in Jacksonville and has been named the Small Business Leader of the Year for 2013 -South Council. Michele was also appointed the position of Chairman of THE PLAYERS for 2016. She serves on the Board of Governors, and is a Trustee member of the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce.
Director of Veteran Training & Transition
Rashan “Fergie” Ferguson served as an Electrician’s Mate First Class in the U.S. Navy for 11 years. Fergie is an ONU graduate and I-10 Shooting Star Award recipient graduating with Class 35. With her experience in Program Management and Public Relations, Rashan is a shining star in the Jacksonville community. In her role as Director of Training & Transition, Rashan is laser focused on coaching and connecting our veterans with employers as well as guiding them in the search for a fulfilling career post military service.
Ashley is a Marketing, PR & Communications Professional, Social Media Expert and Entrepreneur. She has an Associate of Arts degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Marketing from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
During her career she has worked with companies from Forbes to the Wall Street Journal in advertising and collaborating and building luxury beauty brand Passport to Beauty. Ashley has an ambitious and hungry nature to succeed at all her expenditures. She has coordinated over 50+ corporate and private events with audiences from 50-1500+.
Her husband is retired Army and she personally connects with the mission of Operation New Uniform having seen what transitioning from the military looks like first hand.
Support Team Lead
Before her time as a volunteer, Christine was a full time nurse for 20 years and school nurse for 10 years in New Jersey. Christine is a wife to an Army Veteran. It is Mike’s commitment to ONU that inspired her to volunteer with the program. She has seen first hand the opportunity ONU provides to veterans and their families. In her role as Support Team Lead, Christine spearheads administrative and creative tasks, as well as many other tasks essential to the organizations success.
Kim is a CPA (inactive license). She worked for four years at KPMG, both as an auditor and a consultant. She has more than ten years of experience in establishing and maintaining QuickBooks accounting records for small and start up companies.
